its been awhile.

I can't believe it has been over a year since I have visited my own blog. wow things have been crazy. With the loss of my mother last July to renovations on my house. The birth of my beautiful granddaughter. Life is just insane. I can't wait to just sit down and take a breath. I was going through some of my pictures and found some of my work I created and gave away. Glad I took a few pictures of things. Its fun to look back and remember.. Oh yeah, I made that. Ha.
Looks like I am having a little problem with my computer, so enjoy the picture of my two babies till I get this figured out. lol
thats about it for now. bye.

wow allot has been going on since I have been here. First off just to let you know. Hubby has gone back to work and gets stronger everyday. I won't go into all the details about why I haven't been around, but my Mom has been very sick and my time has been spent running back and forth to see her. She is on the mend and is in rehab now and God willing, she will be going home soon. I have also been trying to get my craftroom in some sort of shape.  A little progress at a time is better than none right? lol
So I leave you with a big thank you to all who are praying for my mothers recovering, Our father hears them and is doing is greatest to get her back to her happy healthy self again.

God Bless you all,
Hugs

Well it has certainly been an exhausting few days. Husband was operated on Monday only 4 days ago, but feels like a lifetime. He is doing awesome. Took the aneurysm out, repaired a leaky valve and stapled him all up and is good as new. It was the longest two days of my life. They took him from me at 6:45 AM and didn't get to talk to him till then next day. He finally woke up at 7:30 am the next morning. They removed him from ICU last night and is moving to another room tonight. The Dr says he might be able to come home on Saturday. I can not believe he just went through this major surgery and is on his way home already. Modern medicine.. Now we take it easy and just rest. which of course is easier said than done, because we all know our husbands or men in general can not just sit and rest..
I have been trying to keep up on my swaps, but visiting him is my priority right now.. so will keep you updated on how he is doing.. thanks to all of you who send your prayers and keeping us in your thoughts.

Sunday March 11, 2012

I started this blog and I guess I need to keep up with it. My life is a lot crazy right now and hopefully soon enough I can go back to normal. I guess I will share some things about what is going on because talking about it is good right?
My soul mate and the love of my life will be going into the hospital next Monday the 19th for a very serious operation. He has an aneurysm on his aorta and measures 5.3 at the moment. He was laid off from work on Valentines Day along with 9 others. He is a plumber in the Local 1 union. It is probably his tenth lay off in the last year. It can get to you after a while. So now we figure with him being out of work get the surgery and be safe. Its like living with a ticking time bomb inside you. Waiting is the worse part of it. Can not wait till it is over. So should I not post something for a little bit you know why.
I have been busy with my crafts. Been doing allot of swaps. I joined a group of really nice people.." Creative Soul for the Soul" and Trish is the founder of it. No drama, just happy people. I will post some pictures when I get a chance.
So anyway, leave a comment if you want...I love to hear nice things.. If you have something you want to talk about then be my guess... talk away... just keep it up beat and positive here.. Negativity has not place here.
Have a blessed Day.

12 tags of 2012 Tim Holtz

What better way to start my blog then to do it with a Tim Holtz tag. I was so excited to see that I could actually get in on something that wasn't already over with.. well I did miss out on the February one but not March. He is doing a 12 tags, one every month. I think its an excellent idea and I am sure most of you Tim fans out there will think so too.. more of him over the course of the year instead of 12 days in the month of December. This month is a mosaic type of butterfly and I loved creating mine. I had most of the supplies just not the embossing powder he has introduced, or the wooden stamp. So what I did was used Ranger embossing Silver powder for the grout and I embossed my tag with the wood emboss folder and oh yeah, well I guess I didn't have some other supplies, but I did my own twist on his... I used his stuff, just different. I raised the butterflies with Ranger Pop It Shapes 3D glue dots. I made the roses from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge, which I love making, popped a bling in the middle and added some glossy accents to the pedals to make them look wet. I added a stick pin at the top and put some gold pen on the pedals and it makes it look weathered. All in all, I think I did a pretty good job on it and it was absolutely super fun. I can not wait till next months... but in the meantime, I will be going back to February's and doing that one, just for fun.. hope you all like it.
